One might even extend that argument to include the term pedagogy for standout tracks like 'ebonics'; the rosetta stone of hip-hop slang for doughy 16 year old japanese jews from sleepy suburban settlements.
BL-TBPIt does make me sad to think that the late greats like Biggie, 2Pac, Big L, and company all were depicting their actual lives through their music; well sad, and also incredibly intrigued, like most people, because noone should have to live such a polarizing existence.
