is Jeff Lynne a rock legend?

The guy behind ELO, The Traveling Wilburys (he played bass/spent a good number of hours removing George Harrison's then-greying pubic hair from his teeth)and a handful of other projects that I don't know dick about, is producing Regina Spektor's new long-play record. Well, he's been around the block, but his production has never been something i think back too fondly of. Spektor has undeniable talent; that voice, oh my the voice, and the piano skills to compliment it all. She has changed sounds on every album; the dark, dirty "Soviet Kitsch" the foray in to pop/dreamy love songs that we call "Begin to Hope" and probably some other shit.

Sumthin i read on pitchfork that made me write the above.

Farley

Ok, so there is at least one person studying/teaching abroad who has to look exactly like Chris Farley; I think I found her.

While we're on the topic, did you know the Farley family made serious bank up in Wisconsin in the pavement business.

NYT front page is blabbing about 27.5 billion for road construction crews, the country over. I wonder who gets the money in Wisconsin...

I've been had

I was reading the visitor counter to the right, and I have a feeling that someone is going to flag the blog soon; you can't ever be too paranoid, but it seems that the clamps are going to come down in the future upon those who share music for free on their website, even if they go about it in a slightly sly manner, but oh well, here's some more music anyway.

Lesley Wynn, thank you.
