Pita Pockets

I miss falafel like whoa; in theory one could acquire such an item at one of the 7 "kebap" joints here in Smellva, but they don't have hummus nor tahini; crucial elements in the shwarma universe that I know and love. Here in bizarro Spain, none of these rules apply to food related goods.

When it comes to guitars, they also have some rather unique ideas here about music. I'm not entirely sure why, but the necks are fatter and the bodies smaller on most flamenco guitars, mine included.

International string ensembles are dope though. Here we have Stanley Clarke (a genuine hero) on the bass, Al Di Meola on guitar and Jean Luc-Ponty on violin. This is a really intriguing album on many levels; the sheer virtuosity on display will do it for most people, but there is real soul to this (an indescribable weight that you can feel while listening [better with headphones, but to each their own]). Rite of Strings, bang bang whoosh.

I might be in love.
